Hi pa,


Recently, my dear friend Vijay had written a love-ly poem in Kannada, which reminded me to share a "bhaavageethe" (bhaava=emotion, geethe=song) written by the poet G.S.Shivarudrappa & rendered so poignantly by the late C.Ashwath, a legendary singer & music composer himself.


I vowed to try & type that song in KannaDa script & only recently, managed to do it..!


Phew..! Better late than never..! :)

It says how we search in vain fer a God that does NOT exist...amongst ruins of stones & mortar, whilst missing to see/feel the divine essence in our own midst..among our fellow beings, in our hearts...in love...in beauty..! 
It also laughs at how we build fortresses of arrogance & stone-hearted numbness, stifling the eternal bliss of Love that could have flowered within..! :-(


So apt & relevant for OLL of us, in this age of superficial progress & inner shallowness & stupidity!

The saddest part is that we humans somehow, somewhy JUST Can't FEEL it...!!! :-(


We're insulated against the Miraculous presence of anything Truly Divine...though we can ONLY follow dogmas & rituals superficially...!!


Me just had a tiff with my relatives & people in my village regarding some stupid procedures & thoughts that they seem to still harbour...without ever having any convincing reasons to do so...! (For example, the idea of Animal-sacrifice to appease the so-called Gods & Goddesses, Un-touchability, Looking down on people of other countries, color, or communities...first of all, CLASSifying ( & hence dividing !! ) people like that....
Fears about Celestial bodies/events like Eclipses, New-Moon, etc... & then the ridiculous idea that we can even propitiate the ANGRY planets & stars, abhorring/avoiding a person on the (BLIND!!)-basis that he/she was/is born under a bad-star or angry planet's influence, etc..!!
(Would consider to agree if they can at-least calculate the so-called influence of all the 10^11 X 10^11 stars in the observable UNIVERSE...!!!!! 
Ludicrous..!!! 
And quite Frustrating in deed..!!! 
Instead of appreciating the Beautiful chance called LIFE on our Love-ly Planet...we spend our time perpetuating such ugly Un-TRUTHS...instilling future generations with FEAR & IGNORANCE instead of a sense of AWE n WONDER at the marvels of our Universe & our incredible abode of Earth...! 
WHEN will ASTRONOMY replace our ASTROLOGY...? 
WHEN will SCIENCE temper our Pseudo-Science driven by Religion...n uncover the TRUE Religion of Humanity & LOVE...??? )
But it is amazing that they do NOT Believe ANY Good things the SAME way...!! :)

The Mystery of Enlightenment...!

I want to share the below conversation I saw/remembered. . .which illustrates the contradictory-looking nature/words of the great Eastern Masters...(that's because, the underlying Reality/illusion itself...is so contradictory...with such a dual nature, that its description too becomes cryptic & even non-sense to the Logical Mind, which can never get it...!)

A great Indian Master was once asked by one of his perplexed disciples,

" Master, I really do not understand...!!

You once said that --
'The journey to Enlightenment is very hard and arduous! '

but..but...I also remember you saying yesterday that--
'Enlightenment is right Here and NOW...you don't have to go anywhere to get it!'

How is this possible..? Isn't that contradictory..? "

To this, the Master nodded his head, smiled and calmly replied:

" Not at all. What i said is true.

Enlightenment, or GOD or whatever you may want to label it...is ALWAYS Right Here, & Right NOW..!

But are YOU..??

It is YOU who is NOT HERE & NOW...!!

You are in your false world of illusions...always either in the PAST or in the FUTURE...either HERE or THERE..!!

Hence, it is YOU who has a long & arduous journey to the HERE & the NOW...!
Enlightenment/GOD...is waiting fer YOU..Right Here, Right Now..!

It is Right here, Right now--in fact all around YOU...in your blood, in your breath, in every heart-beat of yours...!

But are YOU here..?
NO !! NEVER..!!

It is difficult for you to leave the world your ego has created--replete with a false sense of security, wealth, name, etc...!

It needs Courage to take that plunge...& to really "SEE"...the fact that the process is EASY because of GOD...but difficult because of YOU..!!
